thick headed but thin skinned
temperamental and sensitive to begin with/
knew his friends but the closer they got
he went from loving person to the form of a rock/
the older he got he craved for the thrills
but journey is far when you're just sitting still/
he learns through drugs how it feels to be free
the world has no doors but he still wants a key/
he needs warmth so his placement is bold
but his blanket statements what's keeping him cold/
the first person to give you advice
and it's always the best yet he ain't livin’ right/
goals are more to want then for havin’
he's scared they won't be as good as he imagined/
break girls hearts if he chooses to do
but he'd rather be invisible then a loser to few/
he thinks dreams mean more then they seem
a lesson in extremes you need to look in between/
secretly when he passes a car
he looks at his reflection and feels like a star/
but the part isn't right and the stars in the night
lose all their shine when he's startin’ to write/
his heart is a playground with nothin’ but slides
he starts at the top and falls all his life/
pauses and sighs…pauses and sighs
what if this misery’s all in his eyes/
if maybe he closed them they'd all step aside
but scared to miss the moment when all will arise/
so he writes…won't even sleep for a little
and can't see the picture beneath all the scribble/
leads a life where peace is a riddle
he lives with the good and bad and sleeps in the middle/
